Agnes Scott College recently partnered with the Atlanta Wedding Loft and held a contest to give away a free wedding to a deserving couple. Since many of the vendors involved in the wedding have family ties to the military, they decided to reach out to a couple who has served and thank them with this gift. Military couples were asked to submit an essay describing why they should receive the gift of a free wedding. An Air Force couple, Chris and Amanda, won and wedding bells will be ringing this weekend at Agnes Scott College.
Friday the couple enjoyed a Rehearsal Dinner in the Anna I. Young Alumnae House, catering courtesy of Howard Robinson, Agnes Scott’s manager of special events and Agnes Scott. Today, the ceremony will be held in the Julia Thompson Smith Chapel with Rev. Deanna D. Lancaster, a non-denominational officiant and friend to the Atlanta Wedding Loft family, performing the ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony, the guests will enjoy a cocktail reception in the Anna I. Young Alumnae Garden while the wedding party takes pictures. And to top off the wedding, dinner and dancing in the Letitia Pate Evans Hall, with catering provided by Sun In My Belly.
Kudos to Agnes Scott College, the Atlanta Wedding Loft, and Sun in My Belly for providing a beautiful wedding and fabulous memories for a deserving couple.
