Decatur Restaurants Rank Among Best in Atlanta

When Decatur’s own Cakes & Ale gets named to Bon Apetit’s Top 10 list of best new restaurants in the country TWICE, it’s easy to overlook the city’s other amazing dining options.

But never fear.  Just go to the Jezebel magazine list of metro Atlanta’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2012, and you’ll find eight of the top 100 in Decatur, plus multiple “Best of” category winners.

Also listed as the place to find the “Best Burger” is Farm Burger, while No. 246 gets a shout out as “Best Italian” as well as “Best Chef’s Table.”

Leon’s Full Service ranks with “Best Bar Snacks” and Brick Store wins as “Best Neighborhood Pub.”

Taco Mac, with multiple locations incuding Decatur, scores as “Best Sports Pub.”  And, Taqueria de Sol garners “Best Taqueria” honors.

Cakes & Ale ranked No. 9 nationally in Bon Appetit’s 2009 “Best New Restaurant” list, and again as No. 10 for Best New Restaurant in 2012 – qualifying a second time because of its move to a new location on the square and the addition of a bakery.

A complete list of Jezebel’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2012 starts on page 138 of the magazine’s July issue.
